I wish my grandmothers had kept journals. We have two small diaries that my mother in law kept. They are really just daily "news briefs", such as "did laundry" or "had coffee with mom", but they are still precious.
Yes, they are precious, no matter what they say. I just wish I knew why my grandmother took a sharp object and hacked out four months' worth of diary entries... makes me wonder what she was up to all summer!
