If a person had a soft spot for animals, he certainly would have to bind his heart pretty tightly to get through it, I should think. As you were, I think I would have been creeped out, too. He started at age 13 in the mail room and worked his way up to Traffic Manager. The company went public in the mid-1960's and after over 20 years working for the company, my dad lost his job. I still have the gold watch Patrick Cudahy gave him at year 25.
